THE POSITION OVERVIEW

The Vice President of Key Accounts’ purpose is to develop Evans’ freight and logistics services by identifying, planning, pursuing, securing and maintaining potential and current customers in need of freight management services.  The Vice President of Key Accounts is responsible for finding solutions that will enhance and add value to each of their customers’ experience with Evans’ freight management service offerings.

TYPICAL JOB DUTIES

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for managed transportation service sales
  • Work with clients to show value in continued savings related to their supply chain efforts
  • Conduct face-to-face meeting with prospects and current customers
  • Maintain current accounts with excellent service and follow up
  • Utilize CRM system
  • Conduct business reviews and manage performance expectations through customer account metrics
  • Travel up to 50%
  • Work closely with internal teams and management to build strong cross functional relationships with clients
  • Provide excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • B.S./B.A. in a business-related field of study
  • 5 to 15 years of experience in the freight/logistics industry. Additional years of education and experience may be substituted for each other, as determined by Hiring Manager  
  • Ability to work in a team environment while also delivering independent results
  • Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read, write and speak English is a requirement of this position

THE POSITION OVERVIEW

TYPICAL JOB DUTIES

  • Understand carrier rating to compile quotes for customers based on freight specifications
  • Engage in on-the-spot problem-solving involving orders that were damaged or lost or arrived short or late
  • Assist in claims process, collecting necessary documents and relaying appropriate information to Evans’ Claims Team
  • Leverage load board technology and Evans’ TMS to select and secure carriers for customer shipments  
  • Negotiate carrier rates
  • Assist in procuring new carriers per Evans’ carrier vetting qualifications
  • Create bills of lading as needed
  • Provide utmost level of customer service to all customers, complete with transparent and cordial communications

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
  • Understanding and working knowledge of transportation management systems

  • Speaks and writes in English fluently

DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED: 3-5 years of previous dispatch experience with shipping/carrier management, bachelor’s degree

THE POSITION OVERVIEW

Evans’ Customer Service Team is responsible for the tracking and tracing of all open orders within Evans’ transportation management system (TMS). To complete their objective successfully, Evans’ Customer Service Team audits customer-entered orders for completion and accuracy, procures and corrects missing and incorrect order information, obtains delivery status updates from carriers, and cordially communicates delivery status updates to customers.

TYPICAL JOB DUTIES

  • Track and trace the transportation of a high volume of customer shipments from order-entry to delivery
    • Audit customer-entered orders for completion and accuracy
    • Procure and correct missing and incorrect order-entry information via carrier websites, email, and phone
    • Communicate with carriers to obtain delivery updates via carrier websites, email, and phone
    • Communicate delivery updates to customers via Evans’ transportation management system (TMS), email, and phone
    • Communicate information needed to mitigate delivery issues with Evans’ Operations Team
    • Maintain the highest level of customer service even when under pressure

THE POSITION OVERVIEW

Evans’ Billing Analyst/Accounts Receivable Team is responsible for processing customer and carrier invoices within the company’s transportation management system (TMS). Also to be expected is the auditing of customer billings and carrier payments against existing contracts, the resolving of pricing discrepancies, the documentation of additional information into Evans’ TMS, the execution of internal processes, and any other duties as they are needed.

TYPICAL JOB DUTIES

  • Audit and review carrier invoices for accuracy
  • Update TMS for customer billing
  • Enter new orders from carrier invoices
  • Contact freight carriers for missing information and problem resolution
  • File carrier invoices and maintain filing
  • Prepare routine customer reports
  • Review orders in TMS for unbilled or open orders
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • Report to work on time and follow all company and departmental guidelines and rules
